Top 10 things to do in Thailand

1- Bangkok 

Ladyboys, Buddhist temples and magnificent palaces are only three reasons to stop in the capital of Thailand. But venture out beyond Khao San Road, aquariums and t-shirts Bob Marley, and you will discover the old Siam in a more charming appearance. Escape the bustle of the city and cruise the canals to admire the many temples from the comfort of your boat, or do tai chi on the shores of the lake in Lumphini Park. After a day of sightseeing, be sure to refuel at Thip Samai, the legendary palace of pad thai in Bangkok.


2- Chang Mai 

Take the night train to Chiang Mai, to find yourself in the middle of the highest mountains in Thailand, perfect for a few days trekking in the jungle. Take care of your own elephant: you bathe, feed him and ride in one of the many shrines located here. Do some research to find a good sanctuary that focuses on protecting,. Or improve your skills of Thai cuisine in one of the schools or organic farms that are located in this peaceful retreat in the mountains.


3- Pai 

Known as a hippie mountain town, Pai is located 80 km north of Chiang Mai and is the perfect place to enjoy thalasso treatments. This place is full of waterfalls and hot springs, and tiny Thai ladies past masters in the art of Thai massage make you forget all your worries. Start your day relaxing in your private bungalow, before enjoying one of the dishes of the region, the pancake with banana.



4- Krabi 

Krabi on the west coast of Thailand, is a popular starting point for those who go to Koh Phi Phi, where the beach was filmed, as well as 80 other islands just a short boat ride away. Krabi is also the gateway to a number of national parks, including Railey. Take a boat from Ao Nang to Railey and visit the many caves are climbing or simply watch the romantic sunset over the Andaman Sea, as seen from the peninsula.


5- Kanchanaburi 

Perched on the edge of a mountain range, this small town cooler climate provides some relief to those suffering from the heat in Thailand. This city is known for its famous bridge on the River Kwai, film World War II and part of the way Burmese iron. Once a year, a carnival toured the city to reconstruct the battle with an impressive fireworks display. Nearby, the Temple of the Tiger lets see closer and cuddle feline rather large.



6- Koh Li Pe

Here you'll find some of the most pristine beaches and the most unspoiled of Thailand. Pattaya Beach is the main and you will find all kinds of accommodation, five-star bungalow on the beach. For a more secluded island experience, go west of Koh Li Pe on Sunset Beach, as its name suggests, admire spectacular sunsets. This is as close finally to an hour by boat from Langkawi in Malaysia, if you want to go explore a little further.

 

7- Koh Tao 

With some of the best diving in the world, Koh Tao, or Turtle Island is a paradise for beginners and experienced divers. This is a very affordable place to spend his diving certificate, and you will swim with all kinds of exotic sea creatures, including sharks and green turtles. In the evening, have a drink in one of the bars that line the Sairee Beach or visit the Thian Og Beach for a quieter place.


8- Phuket 

Phuket, the largest island of Thailand is a classic stop on the tourist circuit. But if you stay a few days, you will discover other things than the usual flashy resorts and spas cheap. Try your hand at Muay Thai, or if you just want to get fit, you will find many gyms offering classes for a day or a month. If you're pretty cool kind, try kite surfing in Chalong Bay during the winter months.



9- Khao Sok 

The Khao Sok National Park in southern Thailand, home to the oldest rainforest in the world evergreen leaves. Take a walk or a jeep safari into the jungle to locate gibbons, deer and wild boar along the way. For more thrills, try tubing or canoeing around the lake Cheow Larn, where you can also stay in a private bungalow floating.


10- Phanom Rung 

This Hindu temple sits on top of an extinct volcano northeast of Thailand and was built to represent Mount Kailash, the sacred home of Shiva. This is one of the most impressive examples of Khmer architecture in Thailand and is over a thousand years. In April, when the sun aligns to shine through the 15 gates of the sanctuary, the park hosts a festival and visitors can camp there.
